The total package was excellent. Hotel was 5-10 min walk from the stadium and close to convenience stores and bars. The atmosphere was fantastic as we was only 3 rows from the front and close to the Madrid fans who constantly chant the Madrid songs. I'd prefer to have a total package rather than separate after this experience. The representatives of football break were brilliant, we was greeted inside the stadium and shown to a VIP area which needless to say was amazing. Madrid is a very nice city, easy to navigate due to a system similar to New York City, we took a tour of the city and really needed a day or two to explore, but more reason to go back in the future!
Do the stadium tour and visit the club shop! The tour is truly incredible and you could spend most of your day in there!
My girlfriend and myself attended the Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad match at the end of January 2015, this was our second trip with Football Break to Madrid, and was equally as enjoyable. The ease of booking is a great help, and the Madrid experience is one we would definitely recommend
Purchase a Metro ticket for the duration of your stay, such an easy way to get around the city
The stadium tour at Barca was excellent and well organised. Well recommend to go for the extra day to complete this. The tickets we received for the game were excellent - we could not have asked for a better view. My son, aged 8, found the whole experience 'awesome' and the service we received on the whole trip was brilliant.
It is a must to dot he extra day and complete the Barca stadium / museum tour.
our trip was originally booked by our kids, flying out from Gatwick and returning to Luton , but a few minutes on the phone and everything got sorted out at football break,we flew from Prestwick international to Girona and arranged a separate airport transfer to Barcelona, the seats at Camp Nou were excellent and we had 5 goals in the match with Barca winning.i would say the hotel was overrated (4* ... 3*'s at a push) but that is down to the hotel its self and not with football break. our location was spot on 10 minutes in the metro and we arrived at the stadium.
make good use of the metro system , its easier than you think, be sensible with your belongings as it has a reputation for pick pockets.
This was our third trip with football break to Barcelona and, like the first two trips, the whole package was excellent. The upgraded match tickets offered by footballbreak were well worth the extra money as we got a great view of the game in both halves. The game itself was great to watch, two top teams made for a fantastic atmosphere and to see the worlds greatest player score the winner in a 3-2 Barcelona win, we couldn't have asked for any more.
In terms of the city, there is endless things to do and places to visit in Barcelona, I'd personally recommend buying a two day ticket on a jump on-jump off tour bus which enables you to visit almost all of the city's great attractions at your own speed. As previously stated, this was our third trip with footballbreak and I would recommend them to anyone, great value for money, simple to book and always on hand to answer any questions.
For future fans visiting Barcelona I'd recommend extending your trip an extra day or two as its a place with so much to do. The stadium tour at the Nou Camp is a must, as is a look around the Sagrada Familia and of course a long walk down the Ramblas.
