Get a return ticket on the tube - long queues to get tickets on the way back

Last year we went to Barcelona with this company and had a marvellous time. We did not think our trip this year could possibly match up to it but it was even better when we went to Real Madrid. The seats were truly excellent as was the hotel. We had a great time visiting the sights in Madrid.

If you want to see the sights - try The Royal Palace - it is very good value for money. We also had a Segway trip and had a splendid tour.

For the second year in a row we have used Footballbreak.co.uk for our holiday. Both times we have had excellent service, fantastic hotels (clean, friendly and convenient) and brilliant seats - front row both times! We were worried the first year about tickets being at the hotel - but both times they have been waiting on our arrival. We would recommend them without hesitation and have passed their details on to friends to use.

Staying in the centre is easy, we walked to the stadium (just over an hour at a slow pace to see the sights and a couple of beers on the way) but the metro is so easy and you can get a 10 trip ticket which is cheap and easy to use. We also saw Rayo Vallecano who were at home the next day, bought tickets on the day from the Stadium - our son is 12 and had the best time, a very child friendly city.
