Took a gamble on company as first time booked a trip liked this as you never know what you get when booking on the internet. Well during the whole process I should have not have worried as the communication from start to finish was excellent and any queries were dealt with swiftly. Wish all companies could be like this.
We stayed near termini station and then had only a 5 min walk from Metro which helped when visiting sites and getting to stadium.
Booked a trip to Rome for the Roma vs AC Milan game. Received printed tickets and hotel tickets a good few week in advance. The hotel was clean and in a good location to see all the sights in Rome. The seats at the game were also very good. All in all, had an excellent trip and now looking forward to our Barcelona trip in a couple of week!
Book an extra day if you are wanting to see the sights of Rome. Comes at very little extra but well worth it.
Choosing Football Break was a great move. From start to finish this trip was one of the best we have taken & the level of service we received was first class. We chose to go to Barcelona vs. Granada and it didn't disappoint. From a cost standpoint of the total package it could not be beaten, we stayed in a fantastic Hotel (Adagio) which was in easy distance of the area's we wanted to be in, and very easy train ride to the Nou Camp. The stadium itself did not disappoint at all, a great atmosphere and to see my 2 boys faces when Messi scored his hat-trick was priceless! Overall this trip was outstanding and we would defiantly recommend Football Break to anyone as they will not dissappoint.
We thought it would be cheaper to book the hotel, natch and flights separately but this was a fantastic value offer. Less stress for us as everything was sorted. We had great seats for the match and the place was buzzing especially when Barcelona won 4-0. Our hotel was very modern and the staff were excellent, they even printed our boarding passes for our return flight. The thing I was most impressed with was the flight times, we had almost 3 full days there even though we only stayed 2 nights, perfect.
Don't turn up at the stadium too early, gates only open 1 1/2 hrs before kick off.
What an amazing football trip! The whole thing was organised really well (even the tickets etc printed out one step at a time, so all was good for "a bear of very little brain"), like me. It all flowed from one thing to the next without a problem. The eats were high up, but gave an excellent view of Messi's hat-trick! The city itself was excellent and well worth spending a couple of days looking at the superb architecture (and tapas bars).
Well worth getting a Tourist Bus Ticket for the non match day. We caught the blue route bus which also take you out to the stadium, where we did the Stadium Tour (brilliant). Allow a couple of hours for the tour. We then continued the blue route tour and swapped to the red route to get back to the hotel.
