Overall good value. Hotel was very basic but we spent very little time in it so it served its purpose. We really enjoyed the football. Great atmosphere in the stadium, the Napoli fans are very passionate! We pretty much explored Naples in a day but it's a good base for Pompeii, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Everything went well in terms of the arrangements, booking process handled efficiently.
Get to the stadium early. Once you get in the stadium, it's a free for all. Nobody sits in the seat allocated per their ticket. Expect to stand up for the whole game or you won't see anything! The train service is cheap and efficient. We got a train to Salerno then a ferry to Amalfi. It's beautiful there.
packet was very good, hotel basic and seats where in the gods, but you can get better if you pay the extra. over all packed was great, and football breaks was joy to book with. the city of Madrid was a joy to see.
Barcelona next
The package was fantastic. The seats at the stadium were brilliant and had a very good view of the football pitch. The service was also very good from the representatives of FootballBreak and the city of Barcelona was amazing.
I would recommend them to use the metro instead of taxi's for travelling within the city, as the metro is much cheaper!
I only booked the Hotel and Match tickets through Footballbreak. It was so reassuring to be emailed the tickets for the match at AS Roma, before we departed. All tickets had the individuals names on, and all 18 seats were broken down as a row of 12 with 6 right behind on the next row. In theory you cant get better than that. Only problem is, in my experience Europeans don't seem to grasp the concept of sitting in your own seat. We ended up being spread out a bit, so slightly annoying. The Hotel Football break found was not bad, they managed to get all 18 of us in the same Hotel, which was welcomed. The AS Roma fans were amazing, it's a shame the Roma v Juventus match was so poor. Rome is an amazing City. I well recommend using footballbreak.com I will probably use them again next year.
Tip: look in to the transport after the game back to your hotels etc, we found it very hard as the game finished late. & The Stadium is out of the city. We walked back part of the way until we started seeing taxis to flag down. when you get in the stadium ask a steward to show you to your seat, it is difficult telling somebody from another country to move when they're sat on your seat. If you intend buying a shirt, Id suggest buying online from AS Roma direct as they had limited stock at The Stadium and very expensive. Food and drink were reasonably priced inside though.
The experience of going to Barcelona and visiting Camp Nou for a game had been long overdue. We arrived for 3 nights on the Friday and spent that afternoon going to the stadium to do the tour. You get to see all around the stadium and view the the inside of the media centre, changing rooms etc. We then spent a couple of days enjoying Barcelona and many of its Bars before going to the game on the Sunday night. Hugely enjoyable and will definitely go again.
Tip: Do the Camp Nou stadium tour and use the Metro to get around.
