Great service from start to finish and everything went as hoped. Excellent atmosphere in the stadium with great seats and view. Would certainly use again and already planning where to go next.
Relax and enjoy the break, everything will go to plan.
This is the first time we had done anything like this but will definetly be doing this again because the experience is the best ever.....we have all flown before but not for a football match (well not all the lads) the hotel was spot on four star less than two minute walk from the main train station. The city itself (Milan) is beautiful the buildings, architecture, the cathedral , main square , shopping centre etc, etc
Yes if by travelling by train please validate your train tickets (little yellow boxes) at start of platform put you ticket inside to register and print time on your ticket. Not only us but loads of people got caught out by this and a extra 9 euroes each to pay on train or 55 euro fine if not.........
The Hotels location is ideal and the staff were very helpful and provided good advice on travel to the stadium, Vesuvius and Pompeii. The atmosphere at the end of the game (Napoli scored 2 goals in the last few minutes to come from behind to win) was incredible.
an amazing trip...everything was so simple and well organised..my husband absolutely loved this short break that was a 50th birthday treat. A really good value for money trip.
Tip!
the metro is so simple to use....it will take you straight to the stadium so you don't need to stay close by...you can stay closer to the city centre.
We’d strongly recommend FootballBreak for the ease of everything: once we had made the initial booking, all information was emailed in advance and everything ran like clockwork. Additionally the game was great. Bayern ran riot against hapless opposition; we saw some world-class players put on a show and the atmosphere was very good. Munich is an enjoyable city; we just did the obvious (city museum, Olympic park, beer halls etc.). Excellent public transport makes everything easy. Biggest note of caution would be the hotel. We paid extra for the best available hotel, but it was very ordinary at a high price. The mind boggles at what the cheap option is like.
If watching Bayern, get there early. Lines for security an hour before kick-off were brutal, especially for women since there were too few female security guards to do the frisking. Also, buying food, beers, etc in the ground has to be done by an ‘Arena Card’ – a ludicrous con where you get money put on a voucher which you can then spend at the stalls (and of course you end up with money left over on the card that you will never spend).
