The experience of going to Barcelona and visiting Camp Nou for a game had been long overdue. We arrived for 3 nights on the Friday and spent that afternoon going to the stadium to do the tour. You get to see all around the stadium and view the the inside of the media centre, changing rooms etc. We then spent a couple of days enjoying Barcelona and many of its Bars before going to the game on the Sunday night. Hugely enjoyable and will definitely go again.
Tip: Do the Camp Nou stadium tour and use the Metro to get around.
I only booked the Hotel and Match tickets through Footballbreak. It was so reassuring to be emailed the tickets for the match at AS Roma, before we departed. All tickets had the individuals names on, and all 18 seats were broken down as a row of 12 with 6 right behind on the next row. In theory you cant get better than that. Only problem is, in my experience Europeans don't seem to grasp the concept of sitting in your own seat. We ended up being spread out a bit, so slightly annoying. The Hotel Football break found was not bad, they managed to get all 18 of us in the same Hotel, which was welcomed. The AS Roma fans were amazing, it's a shame the Roma v Juventus match was so poor. Rome is an amazing City. I well recommend using footballbreak.com I will probably use them again next year.
Tip: look in to the transport after the game back to your hotels etc, we found it very hard as the game finished late. & The Stadium is out of the city. We walked back part of the way until we started seeing taxis to flag down. when you get in the stadium ask a steward to show you to your seat, it is difficult telling somebody from another country to move when they're sat on your seat. If you intend buying a shirt, Id suggest buying online from AS Roma direct as they had limited stock at The Stadium and very expensive. Food and drink were reasonably priced inside though.
Christmas present from my lovely husband. Absolutely loved our weekend and Madrid was amazing! Loved the whole package from start to finish. Fernando Torres farewell match at atletico madrid was the best experience ever as Liverpool fans we follow Atletico Madrid as well so this was just a perfect end to a perfect weekend.in Madrid. We loved the culture and will definitely be back.Keep up the good work we cannot fault anything .
used the metro to get to ground 1 change follow the fans .station next to ground .on return back in centre in 15-20 mins after match..in centre easier to walk then metro .loads of steps at stations .to many changers. NO one at stations to help or speak english..or use taxi never paid more than 5 euro,s
Easy way to book a whole trip. Everything worked as planned. Only disappointment was the last minute change of hotel. replacement was further out of city centre and was quite basic,
Tip: Buy a Metro pass at airport. Metro is excellent way of getting round city and much cheaper than getting taxis.
Excellent trip - exactly as promised. Hotel was lovely - pool was an added bonus. Flights on time and match ticket received by email prior to flight. Milan was a beautiful city. We were there for 3 and half days and there was plenty to see and do. Overall very pleased and would have no hesitation in using Football Break again.
Metro very good value. Museums are all closed on Mondays. Give yourself plenty time to get through security checks prior to the match.
