We had a fantastic trip to the Allianz Arena in March 2023. Plenty of fun, football and beer during our 4 night stay in Munich where we enjoyed not only the football (Bayern beat Augsburg 5-3 in front of 75,000 fans), but also the cultural delights of the city (bierkellers, BMW museum and the Olympic Park amongst other things).
This is the second time I’ve used football break and this was as excellent a service as the first time, the flight was quick and comfortable and using the metro from the airport is really easy and used it all the weekend. The hotel is modern very clean friendly helpful staff room cleaned everyday and is a great location for everything in Madrid, the Spanish fans of Real Madrid are really friendly and the atmosphere is electric. Booking with football break is so easy and will continue to use them in the future.
Other than the 2 football teams to watch in Madrid this city is one of the most stunning vibrant cities I’ve been too, please use the open top buses to see the sites they have 2 routes and it’s the best way to see the sites and if you see something you like you can get off and explore and then get back on and carry on they run till 10pm so you can tour Madrid at night all lit up it looks completely different. The royal palace and the parque de Madrid are stunning places to walk around the park is huge with loads of places to grab a drink, food and relax. Madrid is stunning with a street upon street of bars and restaurants I think if you lived there for the next century you’d struggle to eat and drink at every bar and cafe or restaurant.
Amazing atmosphere with a crowd of 75,000 in attendance Inter v Lecce. Our seats were in the heavens, an amazing view! Inter Ultras sang for 90 mins non stop!!
Visit Lake Como if you have time. Only an hour away by coach or travel direct from Milan Central train Station. We’ll worth the trip.
Three years to the weekend when we were originally scheduled to go see Inter Milan, we made it. Football break have been magnificent with the covid delay in March 2020 through to rebooking and smoothly delivering our third football break. I find the ease of constructing the package really good. Everything is customisable but slots so well together. The San Siro stadium is a grand old lady of Europe and needs to be seen before she is lost to a new upgrade. The atmosphere is interesting: operatic songs at the start and Ultras chanting throughout.
We did a bit of “culture” seeing the Last Supper ( book tickets well in advance), saw some sights at the cathedral and open top bus and rounded it off with a good night life down at the Navigli Canals.
Amazing trip…. We got this trip for our daughter for Christmas. She loves football and being able to see Mbappe and Messi play together was a dream come true for her. We watched the match Saturday night and then did the stadium tour Sunday. The hotel was lovely but quite far away from everything. Had an amazing time and one very happy daughter
Use the metro and buses. Taxis are very expensive to
