A really good and easy trip.
No real tips just enjoy it. The stadium tour and museum is fun.
Having booked a trip with FootballBreak.co.uk last year to see Milan i booked again to see champions elect Napoli. The hotel was clean and basic with a great base in the Spanish quarter. All the way the communication was excellent, the match tickets collected as planned on the day and no problems gaining entry to the stadium-needed id that matched the names on the ticket. The match experience was great, Naples is everything you have heard, mad, sometimes moody but so underestimated by most-the city has so much to offer. Maradona’s prescence is rightly everywhere and the atmosphere was great leading to their third title (surely). Really pleased with the service from FootballBreak-would recommend booking with them. Heres to the next footy trip!
I would recommend the spanish quarter as a base in the city, near to the main highlights and a 20 euro taxi ride to the stadium
I thought the package was really good value for money, hotel was in a good location, clean and friendly and we had amazing seats at the match. Madrid was lovely with lots of things to see and do.
It was expensive changing money into euros so do it before you go or take a card with you
When I booked a family trip to Milan to watch Inter v Lecce I couldn’t believe how cheap it was - was convinced there would be a catch. But there was no catch at all. The website was easy to use to get everything booked, I received regular correspondence from Football Break to keep me informed, and all match tickets and flight information were received on time. Both flights to and from were great. The hotel exceeded expectations (Acca Palace, Milan) and was an easy 15-min metro journey away from the centre of the city, and ~25-min to the San Siro. The city and weekend itself was amazing, Milan has so much to offer from landmarks, great food, friendly people and easy travel. The match itself was incredible, Inter won 2-0 with two stunning goals, but the thing that impressed most was the atmosphere - what a sound the Nerazzurri make! Will most certainly be visiting Milan again, and using Football Break’s brilliant service again - which city next? Yet to decide! Could not recommend more.
- Get a travel pass for use of the Metro and Malpensa Express train service if flying from Malpensa airport. - Try to eat authentic Italian if you like it, the food is great! - If staying in Affori, there are no sports bars or anywhere showing football (that I could find, anyway!)
Food and drinks in Milan were fantastic. Watching Inter at the historic San siro was amazing!
The Offside sports bar is best for drinks and football during the day.
