I bought tickets for El Classico as a gift for my Husband’s 50th birthday. Having researched various options I went with Footballbreaks after reading their reviews. The customer service team who answered my questions prior to making the purchase also helped me with my decision to select football breaks. The ordering process was easy and because we had been to Madrid before I was confident in the area the hotel I selected was in. I was still apprehensive about spending so much on the tickets and wondering if they would be good seats or intact turn up and it wasn’t a scam. I need not have worried the confirmations all came through and we were notified that the tickets were at our hotel for pick up on arrival. There were clear instructions of where the seats were and what we had to do with them afterwards. It was a seamless process. The hotel ( Catalonia Puerta Del Sol) was great, helpful friendly staff. It’s in a great location for exploring central Madrid. Rooms were lovely. The seats at Bernabeu were fantastic we had an amazing view on the half way line and although we were higher up we still could see everything. It was an amazing trip and my husband can now say he went to see El Classico. I would definitely recommend booking through Footballbreaks!
Barcelona proved to be everything we expected, a great city, great food and drink and lots of places to visit. Ultimately we were there to watch Barcelona play and the Camp Nou lived up to its billing. Our tickets were brilliant (halfway line, 20 rows in) and the only let down was the match itself (0-0). The whole weekend ran smoothly, flights, transfers, hotel, tickets and the fact we had organised it all through Football Break meant that even though the match was moved back 24 hours, Emre at Football Break dealt with all of the adjustments without any fuss. I cannot recommend it more.
We chose to stay just off Placa d’Espanya which meant we had a plethora of restaurants to choose from. Also made getting to the Camp Nou very easy as we only had 4 stops on the Metro.
A really good and easy trip.
No real tips just enjoy it. The stadium tour and museum is fun.
Having booked a trip with FootballBreak.co.uk last year to see Milan i booked again to see champions elect Napoli. The hotel was clean and basic with a great base in the Spanish quarter. All the way the communication was excellent, the match tickets collected as planned on the day and no problems gaining entry to the stadium-needed id that matched the names on the ticket. The match experience was great, Naples is everything you have heard, mad, sometimes moody but so underestimated by most-the city has so much to offer. Maradona’s prescence is rightly everywhere and the atmosphere was great leading to their third title (surely). Really pleased with the service from FootballBreak-would recommend booking with them. Heres to the next footy trip!
I would recommend the spanish quarter as a base in the city, near to the main highlights and a 20 euro taxi ride to the stadium
I thought the package was really good value for money, hotel was in a good location, clean and friendly and we had amazing seats at the match. Madrid was lovely with lots of things to see and do.
It was expensive changing money into euros so do it before you go or take a card with you
