The Liverpool fans were still celebrating when Wijnaldum made it 3-0 just a couple of minutes later. Barcelona were putting pressure on but it was Alexander-Arnold who scored the decisive fourth goal in the 79th minute. Anfield was going completely bezerk.

The Champions League final is always tense, especially when it's a city derby. Real Madrid had not won a Champions League final for 12 years back in 2014. The entire city of Madrid was looking forward to this faceoff. Little brother Atletico went ahead in the first half. Real tried to equalise, mainly through Ronaldo, but it was to no avail. Then deep into injury time it was Sergio Ramos who headed in the equaliser. Atletico already had the cup in their grasp but then went on to concede three goals in extra time. They came so close!

AC Milan v Liverpool, final 3-3 (2-3 on penalties) (2005)

AC Milan who included Clarence Seedorf and Jaap Stam were strong favourites in the final. This confidence was soon expressed by a quick goal in the second minute scored by captain Maldini. AC Milan were dominant and were already 3-0 at the break when Crespo added two further goals. The game seemed to be over and some disappointed Liverpool supporters were already leaving the stadium. What followed was to be one of the most spectacular comebacks in Champions League history.The impossible did happen and Liverpool managed to score three times in the space of six minutes. It was FC Liverpool who had more bottle in a nerve jangling penalty shootout. An unforgettable match.

A football match normally lasts 90 minutes and the Germans win in extra time. Manchester United had a legendary team in 1999 with players such as Beckham, Neville, Giggs and Jaap Stam. Der Rekordmeister took the lead in the sixth minute thanks to a free kick. It was then end to end, however no real chances were actually created. Bayern came closest to scoring a goal in the second half when they hit the post and a bicycle kick struck the crossbar. Three minutes of injury time were added and the keeper Schmeichel went forward. The ball reached Giggs after a melee, and he managed to score. Manchester United were awarded another corner with a minute of injury time left which was taken by Beckham and Solskjaer scored to see the Mancunians win the final in three minutes!
